Nails: Fireworks and shooting stars

As it was Bonfire Night yesterday there were fireworks everywhere.

I honestly have no idea if The Observance of 5th November Act 1605 (aka the “Thanksgiving Act” (thank you Wiki)) is still in force, but fireworks still seem to be popular – even on nails.

Some of the fireworks are glorious, multi-coloured wonders:

Others look like a sugar-filled toddler got hold of a potato and some paint:

Some fireworks remind you of an alien landing – a scary day-glo one rather than a tasteful one

Some fireworks probably looked better in the box before they were lit as the packaging overpromised, then the fireworks themselves were kinda confusing.

Most Local Council’s interpretations of Health and Safety Laws have banned bonfires due to a fear that they might hurt people – rather like these nails:

Of course the American’s have fireworks to celebrate their own special government-related day – although arguably the Fourth of July is more about freedom than the continuation of established power-hogging by the political elite.

Not that I am suggesting (or condoning) that a zombie Guy Fawkes might still be after revenge after all these years.
