Book: A. R. Winters’ ‘Innocent in Las Vegas’ – “The closest I came to romance in my own life was when I bought heart-shaped boxes”

I decided that it would be fun to download some random free Kindle books to see what I could find – the emphasis being on *free*.

This is nothing to do with my recent shock credit card bill after replacing all the furniture in the bedroom as the previous owners had built in the most hideous set of units.

My starting point was a romantic-comedy, despite it not being my preferred genre, but the cover was so pink that it was eye-catching.

Plotwise, Tiffany Black works as a croupier in a casino and loves cupcakes – no I don’t know why we needed to know that, I guess Winters thought it made her heroine quirky.

Tiff wants to be a Private Investigator and nearly has her license – she also has her first case… investigating the murder of a casino-mogul who may not have been murdered by his stripper wife…

For a rom-com there wasn’t much rom and the ending felt really abrupt and like the male led was being deliberately pushed away – random.

The writing was light and fluffy, which works for the genre, but there was nothing that will be memorable in a week’s time- which is fine as a) I didn’t pay for it and b) I remember too much junk anyway.
